Beefy Beef Noodle on Main St

Went to the Beefy Beef Noodle at Main St, which is surprisingly convenient for me to get to but never went.  Turned out to be a pretty posh restaurant – it feels like it has Korean undertones,  modern decor but a serious Chinese slant to the menu – there were Xiao Long Bao (quite good!) along with the titular beef noodle.  The Beef Brisket Noodle was pretty good – I liked the springiness of the noodle,  and the beef was both tender and was nice and lean, reminded me of flank – sadly though,  I do miss the chunky stereotypical beef brisket with lots of tendon (but also sadly lots of fat!)  The broth was pretty good, although a friend ordered the tomato broth, which looks like it’s really just the normal beef broth with a bit of extra tomato (rather than some awesome borscht).  All in all,  I’m definitely going to go again for the XLB and perhaps try their curry!  They also have a “new Wide noodle” which might be right up my alley!
